Diverting Thriller

This is an early lead role for Sandra Bullock who made this straight after Speed. The film came out during the early days of the internet when people were worried about the hold computers can have over people's lives. Sandra plays an agrophobic computer programmer who accidentally stumbles on a huge scandal and in the process has her life erased (computer-wise that is) by sexy Jeremy Northam. I liked this movie, it did not tax my brain at all but was involving enough to keep me hooked until the end.

There are some good DVD extras including two commentaries and a 'making of...' featurette. I liked the directors/producers commentary the most, it provided some interesting insight into the film.

Sandra Bullocks best films

The Net This is one of Sandra Bullock's best films, she plays Angela Bennetts a software engineer who works from home and has few friends outside of cyberspace. This film has a touch of a Hitchcockian thriller to it. The night before she goes on holiday, a colleague mails her a mystery virus that provides access to reams of top-secret classified information; however, neither his plane crashing, nor a total computer meltdown at LA airport alerts Angela to danger… I don’t want to say more and spoil the plot… enjoy!

Great Film

I enjoyed this film emensly, the story was exciting and Sandra as always was brilliant! This is definitely worth a rent, infact I might rent it again soon.

Brillant film, forgotten that I had seen it before but well worth watching for a second time, it certainly gets the little grey cells thinking and keeps the drama going till the end.

this film is a must see for those with intrigue and socia-system conflict likes!...the film is down to earth and thought provoking, I would just sit back, forget the coffee or tea breaks and just keep your eyes and heart on the film! and kiss your mind good bye! hahahaa u know, in the film....(kiss your *** good bye, !hahahahah, if they're after YOU!)
