"I Want Candy" follows two hopeful lads from Leatherhead trying to break into the movies who stumble upon the opportunity of a lifetime. Frustrated by their arty film teacher (Mackenzie Crook), wannabe producer Joe (Tom Riley) and his talented but neurotic director friend Baggy (Tom Burke) head to London to sell what they know is a script made of gold. Encountering nothing but closed doors, their luck changes when an equally desperate producer (Eddie Marsen) is willing to throw money at them provided they nab the star he needs. There's just one problem - he wants Candy Fiveways (Carmen Electra), the worlds No. 1 Adult Star...

Porn-tastically hilarious...!

PaulaWestwood from from Ashton-Under-Lyne, 28th March, 2007

A couple of young lads doing a media study course, aim for the bright lights of hollywood. To get to the top these guys decide to hawk a script around several production companies, only to inadvertently fall upon a production company who promote the seedier sort of film, inadvertently the lads are cornered into having to make a blue film to extricate themselves from a tricky situation (is this starting to sound a little benny hill meets carry on ?), and the whole thing dissolves into a well written well produced and hilariously acted farce, everyone in this made me laugh out loud. A British film, with a great cast, this could possibly be the funniest film you might see all year (any film that can make a rib-tickler out of a ribbed-tickler can't be all bad can it ?). I would definately recommend this as worth a watch !

Very Funny!!

gromit21 from from Edinburgh, 22nd March, 2007

Didn't know what this film was about when I went to the preview. Story of 2 struggling students who come good in the 'adult' film industry. Some very funny moments throughout... just don't go and see it with your 15 year old daughter like I did!!!

i DONT want candy

ArnoldLayne69 from , 8th December, 2007

The basic idea was good; Carmen, porn & Leatherhead (the town in Surrey, not the bloke from Texas). Sadly, this failed badly; the two leads are just dull, Carmen looks damn hot but no sign of a red swimsuit, very few laughs, no T & A. Overall, little point in watching.

Customer Review

A Customer from UK, 23rd June, 2008

This is a movie about two film students making a movie. Apt really, as it's SO bad i really do think it actually was made by two first year film students. It's not much more than a long list of every bad cliche and worn out attempt at humour that the afore mentioned students could remember. The only things this movie actually achieves is being able to slow down time to a crawl while it's playing!

dreck

A Customer from london, 7th April, 2008

The New Ealing Studios comedies are less funny than Justin Lee Collins. I gave two stars for the film at least employing British crew, took one away for making a film so poor that investors will think twice about putting money into another film.

particularly unpleasant

A Customer from Hereford, 3rd April, 2008

Feminist answer to Death wish with young girl turning tables on fashion photographer. I suppose as a bloke I'm not going to enjoy this film but equally I wouldn't enjoy watching a film of a man torturing a woman. I believe the film has garnered some great reviews ( probably from Germaine Greer) Just a rather nasty violent pointess film, Then agan the success of the 'Saw' series shows your average punter seems to lie violence with no story line
