Well worth watching

A Customer from sutton, Surrey, 7th July, 2004

This film has suspense and draws you into a gripping story. Some excellent performances from Mr Sutherland and Sandra Bullock (although a small part).

flawed before last 15 minutes

A Customer from London, UK, 31st October, 2005

and the last 15 minutes are god-awful The good: Kiefer is very good, and Sandra Bullock is good while she's on screen. Moderate: Nancy Travis is OK, but hard to understand. Poor: I really have no idea what accent Jeff Bridges was trying to do, but it served as a great distraction. And it changed the nature of his character a lot from the original. Awful: the ending is simply stupid. Yes, I know both versions had the same director. But the original is much, much better.

Theresa#3 from WHITSTABLE, 22nd September, 2004

Keither Sutherland and Jeff Bridges play in this well thought and interesting Thriller. Very watchable, even if it is just for the good actors. There is a good story line to this psycho-thriller that will draw ones attention.

Gripping

A Customer from Surrey, 8th August, 2008

Gripping film with strong performances especially the creepy Bridges (but as other reviews have mentioned, where did that accent come from?!). Very minor role from Bullock, maybe she would have been better as the lead? Did not completely understand Bridges motives for doing what he did and some scenes, especially the end were very cliched and have been seen hundreds of times before. Having said that, still made me jump in parts!

The worst re-make ever made

KingPynn from from Newcastle,England, 26th June, 2008

This is simply the worst film i have seen in a while. Having seen the original, the director transformed this re-make to meet the regualtions of the Hollywood producer, and it made it laugable from start to finish. The last 15 minutes are just funny because it makes no sense and very surreal. Do not waste time watching this film the re-make is a million times better. And finally Jeff Bridges was so bad i can't believe other people are praising him. 0/10
