Where Have The Scary Films Gone
A Customer from Bristol, England,
30th September, 2005
This is the latest in a long line of dissapointing, supposed 'horror' films. It is simlilar in quality to Cabin Fever, Jeepers Creepers and any of the recent (last 5 years) teen horrors. Firstly any film that is a 15 Cert is going to struggle to scare anyone over 13, secondly there is a difference between scaring and making you jump, a car backfiring will make you jump but scare you it will not. I really would like to find a well scripted genuinely scary horror - sadly this is not it. Do watch the alternate ending though as I preferred it to the one used - although there is something very odd about the final few seconds of the scene and the way it was filmed/edited - watch it and you'll see what I mean. If you are easily made to jump and under 16 then give it a go - the rest of you - forget it. On a story basis it does have more holes in it than a tramp's vest and doesn't effectively explain anything - the jump from past to present is also a very large one with nothing done to fill in the interim period. The more I think about it , the more this film disappoints.
