Country style
LYNN2 from MIDDLESEX, 25th May, 2004
If you thought it might be funny trying to take the country out of a girl than you should find this funny, taking the city out of a boy. Pauly Shore plays the resident adviser who goes on a thanks giving trip to his new found country girl discovery friends home. Suddenly out in the country where you can roam free and natures elements are all around, he becomes engaged in a twisted family way, has a one night stand and whittles wood with his soon to be Grandpa. Put this on for some light hearted humour.

Good for a laugh!

My wife made me get this film out. She had seen it before and loved it. I had not and was not expecting much. But I was really surprised. At first I thought it was going to be rubbish but I found myself getting into it and finding it really funny. Okay its not a hollywood blockbuster but for a Sunday afternoon film its great for all the family.A girl leaves her farm life for the high life at college in California and is in for a big shock.Crawl befriends her in his own wacky style. She invites him to her parents for the holidays. The fun starts here!
classic pauly shore
jenifer houlston from newquay, england, 15th March, 2004
if you have previously found yourself rolled up with laughter at the hilarious antics of mr pauly shore, then is sure to crack another rib. Crawl(Pauly), A city boy with his own quirky style befriends a farm girl at university and shows her the ways of his world. For thanksgiving, he is invited to stay with her parents on their farm but they have no idea what they are letting themselves in for, neither does Crawl, he soon comes to realise there is alot more to farm life than he first imagined....

Awful

I chose this film not knowing Pauly Shore but on the strength of other good reviews from other members. We were sorely disappointed. It is seriously unfunny...unless of course, you like to watch a film that attempts to get its laughs not from clever witt, but from a guy looking a complete moron in dubious effeminate clothing doing stupid things. I think I managed 2 'semigh' (the most 'funny' part of the unfunny film = his term for a male in a state of excitement) laughs throughout the whole thing. We watched this after watching R.V - Robin Williams - now that had some good lines in!

always loved this Classic piece of Pauly...

and was glad to see it bought to DVD. Probably one of the first mainstream films to see him outside of California man and a scream from start to beginning. Probably not what most people would class as a good comedy but for existing Pauly Shore fans it's a classic
