This romantic comedy, which is based on Alice Hoffman's best-selling novel, introduces the Owens sisters (Bullock and Kidman), who try to use their hereditary gift of witchcraft to help them find love. Collector's Edition includes documentary featuring behind the scenes interviews with the filmmakers and stars.

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock star as sisters who are descended from witches in this uneven black comedy romance based on Alice Hoffman's novel. Kidman is the wilder sibling, while Bullock is the home-loving store owner who falls for Aidan Quinn, the detective who investigates when Kidman's abusive boyfriend disappears. There are nice supporting performances from Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest as the sisters' equally witchy aunts, but director Griffin Dunne — who made the blackly comic Addicted to Love — ultimately fails to make either a moving comedy romance or a funny romantic comedy. Unfortunately, this is The Witches of Eastwick with its humour and sizzle removed.
